Please note that the subscription process is a TWO step process. Once you have supplied your email address, you will receive an email that you have to respond to complete the registration process.
The reasons for this are firstly to confirm your email address (which we will never give out, sell, lend or supply to anybody, no matter how nicely they ask), secondly it prevents subscribing on other peoples behalf ('cause then they shout at me, telling me to stop sending things they did not subscribe to).
Another important issue, is the latest paranoia about UCM (Unsolicited Commercial eMail - in other words SPAM!), has lead to a lot ISPs, mail administrators and techies blocking various emails based on content or source. If you don't receive your daily jokes, ppplllleeeaassee, check with your techies or providers that they haven't blocked them, even if you used get them and now don't, before shouting at me. We send out over 20 000 emails a day, and we normally know if there is a problem on our side.
